Ah, carpet

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show you because we have moved all the furniture around and my PC isn't plugged in. However, our family room is really coming together now.

Back in March just before Easter we finished putting the lights up and I think around Memorial day we put the drywall up for the ceiling and the "new" wall that we closed in. Then we hired a mudding and taping drywall guy to finish it up so it looked nice. Then we hired a wallpaper person to put the wallpaper on the ceiling. During all of this I managed to paint the entire room (four different colors) and put up wallpaper on the lower sections of the wall and we actually got shades for the windows. Oh the humanity.

We had to order the carpet and then after it came in we scheduled the install which ended up being today. Yeah! So now that we have carpet all that's left is the drapes and the cornices. I'll be making the cornices myself so the only thing we have to get done is having the drapes made. Surprisingly this is proving to be a difficult task. Where does one find a person that will work with velvet? We want to have red velvet drapes in here to make it look like a theater and then cornices above that for more color and contrast.

I'll get some pictures up of the family room in the next few days. Gotta go as my laptop battery is dying.
